SJL Oxfam Youth Group make some noise
Posted on 27/06/2019The SJL Oxfam student group headed to Parliament this week, to meet with local MP Bim Afolami to discuss what actions both the UK Government and individuals need to commit to in order to combat climate change.
Students posed questions about what actions the government should take for a greener budget for example investing in zero carbon housing and asking if the UK should take a stand against trading with other countries that aren't signing up to climate change treaties.
Our thanks to Bim Afolami MP for meeting SJL students to hear the voice of his young constituents on global issues and for representing their views to the government.
