Black Lives Matter Youth Forum
Posted on 30/04/2021Sir John Lawes School played host to a student-led Black Lives Matter forum.
The event offered students from all key stages the opportunity to come together to discuss the important issues surrounding racial inequality and the Black Lives Matter movement. Students discussed unconscious bias and looked at how we at SJL can help lead the much-needed change within our society. It was especially pleasing to see that we had made full use of modern technology to invite Bishops Hatfield School and Longdean School to the forum via MS Teams.
Daniel, one the student organisers, said “I am so proud to be leading on this as it is something I feel very passionate about”. Well done to the staff and students for all their hard work in organising and running such an excellent event.
